Knits 'n Shit
I began knitting in 2009 in one of my spontaneous fits. I really love all kinds of creativity and grew up drawing and painting everything I saw. As I got older it translated into making tangible useful things (the pragmatic in me). So living in cold Santa Cruz I said what-the-hey. After a trial run I was on my way to make the coolest hats, scarves, sweaters, and anything else I could find. Friends began suggesting I sell some of my knits and I was inspired to start an Etsy. I was really successful my first year but it seemed like the following season knits had become so commonplace (thanks Forever 21!) that my more expensive custom knits were not as sought after. It's not that expensive to list things on Etsy, though, so I still keep my stuff up there.
Last year I fell out of knitting, not sure why, maybe it was because I lost motivation since nobody seemed to be interested. However, I'm assuming I'll pick it up again next fall season, so keep an eye out for product! |
